After a very unsettling wait for the day, I was finally there – at BFI IMAX at Waterloo, waiting in the queue with other Tron fans. Although I wasn’t ‘dressed’ for the occassion, I could smell the fandom in the air as Tronatics flashed their ‘FLYNN LIVES’ t-shirts. It wasn’t a really long wait, but it felt like ages. And as the unrest in my mind peaked, I breathed a sigh of relief as the cinema guys instructed us to enter the auditorium. Watching a movie at the cinema will always be better than your home cinema – the seats, the sound, the right people (hopefully) and the big screen. And when its movies like Tron, only the biggest screen should be the one you should be watching it on. And so, Britain’s largest screen was the obvious choice. As I settled down in my seat (after having carefully picked the right one, calculating perfect view, distance from screen for best 3d results and 23 other variables), I looked around to find people adjusting their 3d glasses. The big screen had this on.

And then the lights grew dim. Here it was. In front of me – 23 mins of Tron Legacy, screening, before its 17th Dec worldwide release. I knew it was going to be awesome. 3d glasses on. Awesomeness download – initiated.
