What I expect from Sony at E3 2013

Sony PS4 at E3 2013

After the much teased PS4 announcement, and that blurred PS4 video,  it is finally time for the big moment at the E3. All eyes are on Sony and the big event will be happening today, June 10th, at around midnight London time.

Of course, what I expect and what actually happens at E3 might be entirely two different things. But following are my approximations of what I’d expect Sony to reveal at tonight’s event.

God Of War Ascension Single Player Demo [Gaming Review]

God of War Ascension

Set to release on March 12-15 across the world, PSN just released the single player demo for the much anticipated God of War Ascension. After last year’s E3 demo, I played the same demo at Eurogamer. The demo that made its way to the PSN however is a totally different one. Does Kratos’ new adventure offer anything new, or is it more of the same rage? Is it time for Santa Monica Studio to create the next big thing, rather than cling on to its hit formula?  Judging by this demo, the studio’s latest offering looks like a complete winner.

Crysis 3 Multiplayer Beta on PS3 [Review]

Crysis 3 Multiplayer Beta

I didn’t play Crysis on the PC when it originally came out. And I have only been playing Crysis 2 on my PS3 for a few weeks, as I picked up a very cheap pre-owned copy. I know, many consider the Crysis/Cryengine to be one of the benchmarks of graphics, and texture, and everything that can be termed pixel-pushing. The new version of this well known graphics card frying monster is to be released later this month (Feb 2013), and EA have just released the multi-player beta on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.  I have had a few sessions with the beta, and here are my first impressions.

Lots of pics from Eurogamer Expo 2012

Eurogamer Expo 2012 - Earl's Court, London

The recently held Eurogamer Expo 2012 at London’s Earl’s Court saw many XBOX 360, PS3 flagship game titles being demoed for gaming enthusiasts. Nintendo were also present at the expo to demo their much hyped Wii U. Apart from the gaming booths, there was a Call of Duty Black Ops II Gaming arena, where almost 20-30 gamers battled it out. Also, one of the highlights of the expo was an old school Street Fighter / Tekken competition. I happened to be one of the lucky ones, who got in (after some amount of ticket hunting on eBay). Here are a few highlights of the event with plenty of pics to feast your eyes upon.
