Yes, this is the Big Ass List of Posters and Trailers and Memes awesomeness. After beeing absolutely dissapointed with some of the early publicity material, Paramount finally succeeded in putting out some really ass-kicking Iron Man posters . This post is going to be choke full of them.
As we countdown to the release of Iron Man 2 tomorrow, [ and yes, I have booked my tickets], why don’t we feast our eyes on some Iron Man 2 magic.
First up: This Chinese TV spot. It has some extra scenes not seen in the other trailers.

I am very disappointed to see that one of the biggest movie franchises of the year, and one of the most anticipated summer blockbusters is getting a very cheap marketing treatment. I am talking about the many Iron Man 2 posters which have been floating around, precisely three of which I find absolutely lame, lazy and very amateurly Photoshopped. It is just plain and simple wrong.
Poster 1:
The poster above on its own seems like a fan art. And it follows the age-old formula of Orange -Blue contrast. But other than that, just have a look at those characters on the poster. Just randomly pasted in various shapes and sizes and randomly staring at some random object. And Mickey Rourke’s centre-piece Whiplash explosion seems like a Yellow Fart.
I mean seriously, my sidebar 9e3k poster seems more badass than the Iron Man 2 poster.

Now, I have been keeping my sentiments about the new Iron Man under wraps. I didn’t want to jinx it because I loved the first one. I saw the first trailer and thought it was a nice teaser. The second one sort of revealed all sorts of awesomeness – Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Don Cheadle as the new Col. James Rhodes aka War Machine. Gwneth Paltrow makes a comeback as Pepper Potts. But here’s the awesome thing that happens in the new trailer – Sam Rockwell. Ever since I saw Moon, I am super psyched about whatever stuff Sam is doing next. And to add to that Sam motherf****ng Jackson as Nick Fury also makes a comeback.
There are so many things so awesome about this trailer that even after the 10th replay, I still feel I have so much more to see. Mickey Rourke as the badass, bad-accent, smelly hair Whiplash who slices a Formula 1 car. Eff Yeah!!
Scarlett Johansson as the seductress Black Widow. Check.
Sam Rockwell. Hell yeah! Sam Jackson with an eye patch. Awesome!
And last but not the least, mighty kick-ass metal transformation that can give Bumblebee an inferiority complex.
This is fo sho going to be the Summer Treat of the year. Wooohoo. And don’t blink – there’s the Iron Man/ War Machine Gunfight combo. Just feast your eyes on the trailer after the Jump.
I am extremely delighted, that on the occasion of the 60th Republic Day of India, my blog 9E3K is being launched and it zooms into the zone of Awesomeness. I know all you guys out there will love it for sure. There has certainly been a bit of a delay with me in posting this. I know this post should’ve been posted in the morning. But eh-well, the most recognisable trait of a Geek is his/her laziness. And I know all you Geeks out there will certainly agree with me on that
Enough of ranting, let’s get straight down to business.
What’s shaking, What’s rocking, What’s occurin!
9E3K is going to be an awesome ride for all you awesome people. As you might have noticed, ‘awesome’ will feature as one of the most repeated words out here. But what apart from that?
What’s Occurin.. err..soon?
Avatar was just crowned the #1, Numero Uno movie of all times in terms of income. That’s huge coz #1 and #2 both belong to the same awesome dude who gave us Aliens, Terminator and True Lies – Mr. James Cameron. In the coming posts out here, we’ll be exploring and diving more and more about Avatar.
Also this year, we are looking forward to some awesome movies lined up. I am super-psyched about Iron Man 2, Harry Potter‘s final chapter-part 1 and of course Tron in 3D. But all of that will be dealt one by one.
