The Walking Dead series 1 was so good, that I completed watching the boxset in three days flat. It was critically applauded, and universally lapped up as the next big thing on telly. With hopes and expectations soaring high on Season 2, as well as budget being cut down and episode count increased, a lot could’ve gone wrong. And having seen Episode 1 of Season 2 – What Lies Ahead, it is fairly accurate to say that this series kicks the shit out of the way. It picks up straight from where we left off, with team Atlanta escaping the exploded CDC building and making their way into the unknown, dodging their lives from the biting walkers and trying hard to survive. The things to like in this episode were in abundance, so I didn’t really care about the minor annoyances. Hit the jump to join the discussion. [SPOILER ALERT]

I have been trying to do a bit of spreading the word about 9e3k. So, I wrote a guest post at QuitYourDayJob [ one awesome blog on pop culture and geeky stuff by the awesome Lee Sargent ] on the new Doctor Who episode – The Beast Below.
Now you guys, who do read 9e3k, know about how excited I am about the new Doctor Who series. It has really turned out to be quite awesome so far, and has exceeded my expectations on two occasions now. Matt Smith certainly has delivered. But while some think of Amy Pond to be quite good and even crucial to the plot, some think otherwise.
The Beast Below did have its share of chills and thrills – thanks to the Smilers. But the biggest thrill of the entire episode was unfortunately in the end – when they revealed a teaser for the next episode when the Doctor will be facing the Daleks in Sir Winston Churchill era.

I am extremely delighted, that on the occasion of the 60th Republic Day of India, my blog 9E3K is being launched and it zooms into the zone of Awesomeness. I know all you guys out there will love it for sure. There has certainly been a bit of a delay with me in posting this. I know this post should’ve been posted in the morning. But eh-well, the most recognisable trait of a Geek is his/her laziness. And I know all you Geeks out there will certainly agree with me on that 
Enough of ranting, let’s get straight down to business.
What’s shaking, What’s rocking, What’s occurin!
9E3K is going to be an awesome ride for all you awesome people. As you might have noticed, ‘awesome’ will feature as one of the most repeated words out here. But what apart from that?
What’s Occurin.. err..soon?
Avatar was just crowned the #1, Numero Uno movie of all times in terms of income. That’s huge coz #1 and #2 both belong to the same awesome dude who gave us Aliens, Terminator and True Lies – Mr. James Cameron. In the coming posts out here, we’ll be exploring and diving more and more about Avatar.
Also this year, we are looking forward to some awesome movies lined up. I am super-psyched about Iron Man 2, Harry Potter‘s final chapter-part 1 and of course Tron in 3D. But all of that will be dealt one by one.
