This section sings the praise to those immortal single frames which have succeeded to create an indelible impression in our minds by their sheer excellence. Yes, no words, no moving pictures, no dialogues – just a single frame, and it speaks volumes. Cheers to their awesomeness.
And we begin this with Heath Ledger’s first appearance scene in the Dark Knight. This happens just after the Bank robbery prologue has been accomplished. And we get to see Heath as the Joker for the very first time.
Just this one shot speaks volumes of the menacing character. The scarred lips and the white paint on the face, the dark eyes and the green hair all lead to one conclusion – Chaos has found a new name, the Joker.
And what follows next is one of the best lines of the movie – What doesn’t kill you, makes you.. STRANGER!
Very deservingly, Heath Ledger won the Academy Award for the Best Actor in a Supporting role. Show some respect to the Joker and Heath Ledger.
