Britain’s Got Talent 2010: Series 4 – Final – Results

by Sujoy on June 5, 2010

AND THE WINNER IS…

Right, in just a few more minutes, the winner of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent is about to announced. Have a quick run through of the final show and my predictions on the night’s performances. The post is here.

But it all comes down to this now. Less than 30 minutes away. Just 30 minutes separate the contestants from their dream. Woohoo.. Check back here for the results.

—————————————————————————————-

Right, so we welcome you back to the last 15 minutes of the show. The phone lines are now closed.  The guest performances by Usher, James Corden and Dizzy Rascal were pretty awesome. But it is time now for the results. Just a quick round up [ and some time killing ] of why the contestants want it so bad. Most common words that feature – amazing, life changing, dream, true :)

Ok, here we go. All the finalists are onstage. Time to announce the Top 3 tonight..

In no particular order…

1. Twist and Pulse

2. Spellbound

3. Kieran Gaffney [ whaaa????]

In 3rd place tonight is …  Kieran Gaffney. I am annoyed that Tobias didn’t make it. But then have a look at the final two.

Twist & Pulse vs SpellBound.

The winner of BGT 2010 is…SPELLBOUND

Told ya!!!!

Spellbound - FinalsThere we go, winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2010 – SPELLBOUND.

Liveblog: Britain’s Got Talent 2010 – Grand Finale

by Sujoy on June 5, 2010

Britain's Got Talent 2010

Right, so even after having missed most of the auditions, and not really following the Semi-Finals, I could not resist this. After all, this is the Grand Finale of the Britain’s Got Talent Series 4. 10 acts battling out tonight for the 100k grand prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety performance. So who are the acts?

Spellbound: I was ‘spellbound’ by their jaw dropping performance in their auditions. I failed to watch their Semi-Final performance, but surely, this act deserves to be here and possibly more.

Tobias Mead: The YouTube sensation of the year, with the Joker mask, remember? His Semi-Final performance wasn’t as strong as his audition. And I strongly feel, he does not have what it takes to be the winner this year.

Tina and Chandi: I love, love, love this act period. Don’t you?

Connected: Yet another silly boy band in the making. Next!

Paul Burling: His impressionist act of Harry Hill in the Semis was funny. But his act has a few loose ends. He needs to make tonight’s performance more crisp and he should see the votes flowing in.

Christopher Stone: The balding accountant turned opera singer – meh!

Janey Cutler: Bless. If she can perform at this age, I say, Go Girl!

Twist and Pulse: Mind-blowingly Brilliant, and one of my favourite acts to win tonight. Now we have seen dance acts, but these guys have a wicked sense of comedy in their act which is very awesome.

Kieran Gaffney: The drummer boy, who makes it to the Finals this year. Can we see an encore of George Sampson happen? The audience certainly loves him.

Liam McNally: Yet another Andrew Johnston, only no bullying issues. And Liam looks quite the cute and innocent guy. And Simon loves him too.

So there you go, the 10 finalists. Unlike the previous years, there is no clear favourite to win the finals tonight. It is as open as it can be, and anyone could win the 100k prize. I’ll be watching it live and blogging it as it happens. The show begins: 7:30 pm London time. See you then. Cheerio!

Britain’s Got Talent 2010 – Auditions Week 2

by Sujoy on April 26, 2010

Auditions Week 2 at BGT was not so good as Episode 1. It had more shitty acts than good ones, and sometimes too many shitty and embarrassing acts can be too boring to laugh at. We got a Regurgitator and also a nervous accountant Christoper Stone. The only saving grace of this week’s episode were again two acts. So let’s talk about them.

1. ‘The Arrangement’

The Arrangement - Britain's Got Talent

An Eight Piece Student Group from Cambridge who want to change the boring image of classical music and adapt it to the current era. And so they did..almost.

I mean yeah, they were quite interesting. And the viewing figures speak for themselves. 170k views so far. The lead singer has very shaky vocals which can be stated as amateur at best. But the whole arrangement and mix was entertaining on the whole. Their medley had Black Eyed Peas – I Got A feeling,  Flo.Rida -Low, Beyonce -If I Were a Boy and not to forget – Lady Gaga -P..P..Poker Face to make the crowd and Amanda go nuts. And even though Simon buzzed in the beginning, The Arrangement did manage to get three yes-es.

2. ‘Spellbound’

Spellbound - Britain's Got Talent

We are in week 2. And just like Week 1′s Tobias Meed (who has got 1 million hits on YouTube so far), I believe this one is gonna make the internet go crazy. Kids from Middlesex aged 12 to 25, incredibly choreographed and insanely performed. It is something you don’t want to miss. Seriously, it is crazy. See the screenshot below and hit the link dude. This is imo, the act to beat.

Hit the Jump to see some awesome screenshots of Spellbound and of course, the many faces of the lead vocalist of the Arrangement.

Britain’s Got Talent 2010 Auditions – Episode 1

by Sujoy on April 18, 2010

Britain's Got Talent

Oh yes! It’s indeed the same time of the year when I go crazy. Sadly enough, I won’t be liveblogging it this year. Coz I’ll be away on a holiday to India during May, and that’s when the Live Finals will be aired. But until then, I hope to at least comment on the awesome audition acts.
Episode 1 of the auditions was aired last night and had as many shitty acts filled in it as I would have expected. But isn’t that what we look forward to? To laugh at the weirdness and the absolute craziness of BGT – year after year after year. So let’s not talk about the bizarre and the utterly useless. Let’s talk about the two acts which stood out from the crowd. These two acts are the current favourites so far for the Finale, and I’m sure both of them will make it to the Finale.

Act 1: Tina and Chandi:
The dog instructor and her dog (bitch?) Chandi who gave an absolute jaw dropping act. You have to see it to believe it. Yes, a dog dancing ballet. Go to the link here.

Act 2: Tobias Mead:

When I saw this act, I instantly felt that this is going to be the first Internet sensation of this year’s BGT. And I am not wrong. 34k views so far. Why you ask. Well, he has a hoodie put the wrong way, and he is an awesome popping dancer. And that mask is of the Joker. The combination is lethal and brilliantly messes with my head, and I’m sure will do the same with everyone who saw it. Have a look at it here. Also, he looks like Joseph Gordon-Levitt [ don't you think?].

Audition episode 2 will be aired next week, and I hope I’ll blogging on it too. Until then, lemme know what you thought about the show and the two acts above. But I’ll sign off with just another screenshot of this mindbending act.Cheerio!
