Apart from the cosplay and the celeb spotting that we have covered so far, the last vertex of the triangle of awesome things that I look for in comic con, is the array of coll stuff that collectors, traders and other passionate geeks bring under one roof. Be it from rare posters to Issue#1 original DC Comics, or exclusive and official movie collectibles, Comic Con, as usual is filled to the brim with such awesomeness, and as we are committed to bring all this awesomeness to you, we have listed down some of the best ones below.

Earls Court Two – the venue of London Comic Con 2011 ( and it was in 2010 as well).

The original Batmobile.

Any Comic Con event is incomplete without its fanatic and detailed cosplay section. This year’s London Comic Con had some of the finest of them lot. After all, its only at an event like this, where you can possibly see Batman and Doctor Who sharing a fag, and Captain Jack Sparrow texting, whilst StormTroopers look down upon Trekkies in yellow spacesuits and term them as – fucking nerds. Yep, it all happens here. Not to forget the awesome anime fanbois and fangirls. Here it is then -

This was my 2nd year at the London Comic Con, and unlike last year, this time around, I did get my fair share of celeb spotting. I had my paparazzi moments, as in, I joined the paparazzi army, trying to sneak in a shot here and flash there. And at the end of the day it was all well worth it. I was hell bent on the idea of not spending a single penny on getting autographs from the guests of honours at this year’s London Comic Con (some of them cost around 40 quid, blimey!). And with the help of my very handy Sony DSLR, I managed to get some really good shots which could be well worth hundreds of pounds if I sold them to the Sun. But then, I thought I’ll not let Rupert Murdoch make any money out of my work. So here it is, all for free, for your viewing pleasure.

Say hello to Dr.Emmett Brown – its Chris Lloyd. Seems like he’d shout out 88 miles per hr any moment now.

With a name which somewhat derives from the immortal Pink Floyd album name ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, Transformers 3 can be termed as an outright train-wreck, and not in a good way. I know it is a Michael Bay movie – the man who vomits SFX on screen without any sort of coherent plot . I had my apprehensions, and then I heard good reviews about this one being better than disastrous 2nd one. Someone even told me that it was better than the first one, and the 3D in this one was at par with Avatar. So, with all those thoughts in my head, I decided to bite the bullet. And here’s what I found out. Transformers 3 is actually, a remake of the second Transformers movie, done in 3D, with better SFX, at least SFX which can be visualised properly. Michael Bay seems to have learnt his job over the last two, and this clearly shows. But at the end of it all, when it takes some 2+ hours to finally arrive at the climactic battle, I was almost dozing off.
A few points that I’d like to discuss about the movie. [ Of course, due to the nature of this discussion, there are going to be plenty of spoilers strewn across the length of this post. But then, what spoiler can possibly spoil this movie anymore? ]
