Any Comic Con event is incomplete without its fanatic and detailed cosplay section. This year’s London Comic Con had some of the finest of them lot. Yep, it all happens here. Not to forget the awesome anime fanbois and fangirls. Here it is then -

Cult Movie Favourite: Enter The Dragon (1973)

Enter the Dragon - Title wallpaper

No matter what kind of a cinema buff you are, whether you indulge in world cinema or not, there is one name that you must have definitely heard of – Bruce Lee (even my mum has heard of him, all thanks to me). And when it comes to discussing Bruce Lee and his movies, there is one movie which inarguably tops the list – Enter the Dragon. This is the grand-daddy of all martial films, the movie which inspired future generations of all martial arts movies. This was the big Hollywood production , co-distributed by Warner Bros with Golden Harvest, and in every way, bridged the divide between the east and the west. If Bruce Lee was the reason why people in the west started watching movies with subtitles (or atrociously funny dubbing), then Enter the Dragon features as one of the brightest medals which made him into such a big pop culture icon. This was the last film that he completed before his untimely demise, and Enter the Dragon remains as a masterful showcase for Lee’s larger-than-life kick-ass image. And even though it is 38 years old(yes, it is that old) and counting, it still remains the definitive martial arts movie of all time.

Trailer Review – Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol

by Sujoy on July 6, 2011

Mission Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol wallpaper

It has been almost 5 solid years since the last Ethan Hunt adventure. With no signs of what the ‘Rabbit Foot’ actually was, Mr.Hunt is back, and by the looks of it, its going to be smashing. There is enough to make me totally pumped up for this movie since I am a big fan of the first movie, directed by the great Brian De Palma. Although the second in the series, directed by John Woo wasn’t a great movie, there were still traces of a fun action movie in it which made it an enjoyable ride. Things got much better with the third installment, especially with the inclusion of Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the cold baddie – Owen Davian, and some brilliantly choreographed action sequences. But this time around, I believe, the roof will be blown away.

The dude on the director’s chair is none other than Mr.Pixar himself – Brad Bird, aka the guy who gave us awesome animation features such as – The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille. This is his live-action directorial debut, and things couldn’t be more right.

A few strong points about the trailer are enlisted after the jump, and oh the trailer as well, in glorious HD.
