I have been trying to do a bit of spreading the word about 9e3k. So, I wrote a guest post at QuitYourDayJob [ one awesome blog on pop culture and geeky stuff by the awesome Lee Sargent ] on the new Doctor Who episode – The Beast Below.
Now you guys, who do read 9e3k, know about how excited I am about the new Doctor Who series. It has really turned out to be quite awesome so far, and has exceeded my expectations on two occasions now. Matt Smith certainly has delivered. But while some think of Amy Pond to be quite good and even crucial to the plot, some think otherwise.
The Beast Below did have its share of chills and thrills – thanks to the Smilers. But the biggest thrill of the entire episode was unfortunately in the end – when they revealed a teaser for the next episode when the Doctor will be facing the Daleks in Sir Winston Churchill era.

I am extremely delighted, that on the occasion of the 60th Republic Day of India, my blog 9E3K is being launched and it zooms into the zone of Awesomeness. I know all you guys out there will love it for sure. There has certainly been a bit of a delay with me in posting this. I know this post should’ve been posted in the morning. But eh-well, the most recognisable trait of a Geek is his/her laziness. And I know all you Geeks out there will certainly agree with me on that 
Enough of ranting, let’s get straight down to business.
What’s shaking, What’s rocking, What’s occurin!
9E3K is going to be an awesome ride for all you awesome people. As you might have noticed, ‘awesome’ will feature as one of the most repeated words out here. But what apart from that?
What’s Occurin.. err..soon?
Avatar was just crowned the #1, Numero Uno movie of all times in terms of income. That’s huge coz #1 and #2 both belong to the same awesome dude who gave us Aliens, Terminator and True Lies – Mr. James Cameron. In the coming posts out here, we’ll be exploring and diving more and more about Avatar.
Also this year, we are looking forward to some awesome movies lined up. I am super-psyched about Iron Man 2, Harry Potter‘s final chapter-part 1 and of course Tron in 3D. But all of that will be dealt one by one.

And so it begins. The journey into the world we call 9e3kdom.. or should we say geekdom.The question that struck me was – Why another blog? And I said to myself – Why not? I have been blogging for quite some time now. And most bloggers will agree with me when I say – It is a release, a perfect destresser and also a symbol of how awesome or otheriwse you are.
So, this is the first post on 9e3k. And it is indeed a tough task to write the introductory post. It sets the tone, and as we Hindus believe – the Shree Ganesh is always important. Without getting carried away, let’s just begin with…

But in a nutshell, 9e3k is the release of the latent geekness that I have contained in me waiting to errupt. I know I have my other blog ‘OneKnightStands.Net‘ where I do occassionally rant about stuff which can be termed geeky. But the geek in me needed a bigger home. A place that can be called completely Geeked. The nav-bar has enlisted most of the stuff I’ll be talking about, but be patient please. It’s still early days, so most of the stuff hasn’t been written yet. But I promise I’ll write one of each at least by the end of this month. So here it is. 9e3k.com
The Logo in Green?
Yes. Coz I like Green . It is the colour of Android – a symbol of Open Source. And green by itself is a very soothing colour. I love green fields and greenery in general. The human eye can identify more shades of green than any other colour [ Source ]. It is the colour of money [at least the dollar]. No wonder, man is biologically greedy.
