Yes, that poster is quite bad. I think studios and their marketing departments don’t care enough anymore about movie posters looking like really shit.
I don’t think I’ll be watching Beastly anyway

Oh yeah, I didn’t see that. The trailer is very intriguing indeed. I am based in London btw.
I am excited about the movie as well.

As for conviction, Hillary Swank and Sam Rockwell are very good actors, and I am sure, this will be a hard hitting drama.

I really hate that Beastly poster. It does not make me want to see that film at all because I really don’t think it conveys any of the story concept. Beauty and the Beast could get away with it because it already has brand recognition which whilst this is a spin off of that I wouldn’t have made the connection without reading your synopsis.

Photoshop rush jobs never impress me in posters anyway

I don’t know where you’re based, but I just wanted to point out that the trailer for THE NEXT THREE DAYS is indeed out and has been for some time now. I’m sure you can find it on Youtube easy enough.

On a related note, I can’t stress how freakin’ excited I am for the movie. I’m already a huge fan of Russell Crowe and I love the Hitchcockian “innocent man” story which seems to be especially well done here.

Still need to look up the trailer for CONVICTION. Haven’t heard about it until here, but the name Sam Rockwell always is a good sign.
